The short version

Your images are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address or photos.

The app does show ads and does measure which screens get used. Those two features are provided by Google, and they collect device-level data — including an advertising identifier. The rest of this policy explains exactly what that means.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Android application "Image Toolkit: Split, Compress" (package com.logicpathsystems.imagetools), published by Logicpath Systems ("we", "us"). It does not cover any other app or website.

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, your email address, or your photos.

2. Your images never leave the device

We have no server that could receive your images, and we cannot see any file you open in this app.

Every tool in this app — splitting, optimizing, background erasing, ID photos, watermarking, signatures, PDF building and size presets — runs locally on your device.

Images you import are read from your device and processed in memory or in the app's private cache folder. Results are written back to your device through the Android MediaStore, into Pictures/AssetMaster.

No image, PDF or signature is ever transmitted off the device.

When you use the system share sheet to send a result to another app, that file leaves under your control and is then governed by the privacy policy of whichever app you chose.

3. What is stored on your device

The app keeps a small local database so it can remember your work between sessions. It stays on the device and is not readable by us:

  • Your app settings and saved size presets.
  • A list of recent projects.
  • An export history: the number of files, the file sizes before and after, a timestamp, an optional label, and the MediaStore locations of the results.
  • Which optional tools you have unlocked by watching a rewarded ad.

You can erase all of it at any time from Android Settings → Apps → Image Toolkit → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.

4. Data collected by Google

We use two Google services. We do not receive your personal data from either one — we see only aggregated reports.

Service What it collects Why
Google AdMob Android advertising ID; IP address and coarse location derived from it; device model, OS version, language and screen characteristics; which ads were shown, viewed or clicked. On newer Android versions, Privacy Sandbox signals such as the Topics and Attribution Reporting APIs. Select and measure ads, cap how often the same ad repeats, detect invalid traffic.
Google Analytics for Firebase An app instance ID for this installation; the name of each screen you open; device model, OS version, app version, language and country; Google Play install referrer. Show us which tools are actually used, so we know what to improve.

What the analytics never sees

The screen-view event records a screen name — for example "optimizer" or "settings". It never records the contents of an image, a file name, or anything you type.

What we do not use

We do not use Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, or any Firebase database or storage product. No crash report or diagnostic log is sent to us.

Depending on your consent and your region, ads may be personalised or non-personalised.

5. Permissions

Each permission the app declares, and what it is for:

  • READ_MEDIA_IMAGES · READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED · READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — To read the images you choose to edit. On Android 13 and later the system Photo Picker is used where possible, which needs no permission at all.
  • CAMERA — Only if you choose to capture a new photo instead of picking an existing one. Declined, the rest of the app still works.
  • INTERNET · ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — To request ads and send analytics events. Image processing itself never uses the network.
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — Used by AdMob as described in section 4.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE · WAKE_LOCK — Declared by Google's own libraries so scheduled background work can finish reliably.

6. Legal basis (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for advertising and analytics, and on our legitimate interest in a secure, working app for essential local functionality. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.

7. Your choices

  • Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. The same screen lets you opt out of ad personalisation.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics: measurement across apps and sites at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Erase everything: the app has stored by clearing app data or uninstalling.
  • Decline permissions: Decline the camera or photo permission — only the feature that needs it stops working.

8. Retention

Data stored on your device stays until you clear it or uninstall. Data held by Google is retained under Google's own retention policies and the retention window configured in our Analytics settings. We hold no personal data ourselves, so there is nothing on our side to retain or delete.

9. Children

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will act on it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, most requests are best directed to Google, the controller for the ad and analytics data described in section 4. Write to us and we will help you route the request.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the personalised advertising described above, which you can switch off in your device settings.

11. International transfers

Google processes the data described in section 4 on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's own privacy policy.

12. Security

Your files are protected by Android's application sandbox: no other app can read this app's private storage. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side copy of your images to be breached. Traffic to Google's ad and analytics endpoints is encrypted in transit.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy is delivered with the app itself, so it changes only when you install an update. If it changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the new version takes effect when that update is installed. This page mirrors the copy inside the app.
